Defense Pricing Analyst

Job Description:

The Defense Pricing Analyst is a core support role for Allison's Defense Pricing group within Finance. The analyst will be responsible for month-end close, recording journal entries, performing monthly account reconciliations, and Defense invoicing and reporting. The analyst will also support Allison's cross-functional Defense Product Line Teams (PLT) as the finance representative, providing guidance to the team on all matters relating to finance and preparing business case analysis for all types of change management for defense products. The last major component of the role is to work cross-functionally with our commercial pricing counterparts and our Defense Programs personnel to calculate, maintain, and input into SAP defense parts pricing. This role is a great launching point for a career within Allison and affords many points of visibility and exposure to a variety of functions within the business.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepares and organizes defense pricing month-end tasks, including recording journal entries, account reconciliations, invoicing, reporting, and quarterly reports
• Support assigned Defense Product Line Teams (PLT) as the finance representative, including preparation of business case analysis (primarily discounted cash flow modeling) for all types of change management for that product.
• Work cross-functionally with the Defense Programs department to support Defense parts pricing and purchase orders received from customers, including calculation of pricing and input into SAP
• Prepare the Defense parts pricing workbook to establish pricing for the following year
• Prepare and input the Defense price loads of data into SAP for the following year's Tracked sales to customers
• Various Defense Pricing department analyses as contractually required for submission throughout the year
• Potential to support Defense Programs' pricing proposals, including preparing the financials and analysis for proposals, including collectively working with the cross-functional team to ensure successful pricing approvals at the executive level

Educational + Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent Business field
• Excellent organization and presentation skills
• Familiarity working in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
• 0-3 years of experience
• Demonstrates the ability to work cross functionally in a team
• Experience using SAP is a plus
