Summary:
As a member of the Defense Product Integration team, you will have responsibilities for supporting fielded product and assessing new applications of the Allison family of products. Assignments will cover programs featuring conventional and electrified products for US and international wheeled and tracked vehicle programs. You will be a subject matter expert in the performance, operation, and calibration of Allison products. The scope of your projects will be jointly developed with department supervisors and tracked in accordance with key metrics and milestones. Throughout the integration process, collaboration with internal and external customers and suppliers will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assess program opportunity requirements in support of technical solution development
- Use Allison developed software to develop vehicle predictive performance
- Work directly with internal and external customers to develop and execute to project plans
- Travel as required to complete installation reviews and perform product tests
- Create, optimize, and validate product calibrations
- Diagnose and address product findings
- Prepare technical data such as interface control documents, test procedures, performance specifications and assist in product manual creation
Required Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent program
- Two years of relevant industry experience
- Strong analytical capabilities and knowledge of drive-train relevant mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficient in English oral and written business communication
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Ability to generate clear and concise formal presentations to communicate technical issues to varied audiences
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Travel requirements up to 25%
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred:
- Direct experience with drive-train system systems and components
- Experience using SAP or a similar Product Data Management system
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics
- CAD experience
