The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Coordinator will play a crucial role in achieving our mission to build a workplace that is aligned with our DE&I values and vision. In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement thoughtful DE&I programming for our internal team members. You will be responsible for engaging with internal team members through key initiatives like employee resource groups, diversity and equity trainings, community spaces, and advocacy work with the goal of developing a culture of equity, inclusivity, and allyship at Alma. • Identify and leverage research, thought leadership, best practices, and external resources to drive the evolution and development of Alma’s DE&I strategy.
  • Establish goals and metrics to help advance and measure DE&I work and programming that monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of all initiatives and enables quick course correction.
  • Facilitate and moderate select DE&I programs throughout the year.

Who you are:

  • You have 1-3 years of experience working on internal diversity, equity & inclusion programming.
  • You have 1-2 years of program management experience and have built out innovative and thoughtful DE&I programming.

  • You are respectful of and have a genuine interest in learning about others’ lived experiences. You are open to feedback, can take responsibility for mistakes, and course correct your approach.
  • You are an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) and are a natural facilitator of meaningful conversation.
  • You utilize a data-driven approach and can monitor and evaluate program metrics.
  • You are a creative thinker and problem solver; you are  always exploring how to make something even better or work through issues that require on-the-fly prioritization.
  • You have experience working at a startup and/or fast paced work environment.
