This role will support two critical components of the organization: the Office of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Program Office. Overview:
As a member of the DEI and ESG teams, you will work on key strategic initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements. You will create action plans, manage projects end-to-end, and communicate with stakeholders to achieve Motorola’s strategic DEI and ESG objectives. You will work with global stakeholders to understand pain points, write problem statements, gather metrics, develop & test solutions, and implement resolutions. Projects will involve research, written & verbal communication, and data analysis.Â
Your role may include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.
- Research and provide recommendations on DEI and ESG best practices.
- Manage projects to engage employees and/or external stakeholders on topics of talent acquisition, supplier diversity, inclusive company culture, and sustainable development.
- Analyze data collection frameworks for DEI and ESG metrics.
- Develop social media content to highlight Motorola’s DEI and ESG programs.
Desired Skills:
- Passion for topics like DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and sustainability. A strong desire to learn and work toward a career in DEI, ESG, Sustainability, or related fields is a plus.
- Awareness of the evolving landscape and regulations around DEI and ESG.
- Highly structured, organized, and process-driven with a keen eye for process improvement opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and keep track of action items and deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills with a passion for building relationships and navigating critical conversations.
- Experience with crafting a research plan and conducting research.
- Computer-savvy and ability to manage, analyze, and present data in meaningful formats; comfortable with business software applications/systems such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides.
Ideal candidate will reside in IL or FL - subsidized housing is available for the duration of the internship as needed.

Basic Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Program with expected graduation on or after December 2023
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
