About the role:  This is a hybrid role as DEI &HR Business Partner you will collaborate cross-functionally within the People and Culture team (HR) and company-wide to develop targeted tools, resources and actions that will shape and strengthen company culture while effectively creating, driving, and providing oversight specific to relevant DEIB program/ Compliance initiatives.  The incumbent will provide additional HR business partner support for respective business units as assigned. The DEI & HR Business Partner is an effective engaging DEI/HR practitioner with a proven track record of collaborating with the business, developing creative programs throughout the employee life cycle and bringing DEI/Compliance initiatives successfully to fruition. This role is critical to shaping our culture as we grow and strengthen our engagement and DEI practices as well as maintaining a successful partnership with the GH business community. A successful partner has the proven ability to create and implement scalable programs, while establishing benchmarks and tracking progress while providing HR guidance to respective business units. This role will directly report to the VP of People and Culture and work closely with both the VP of People and Culture and the CPO on specific initiatives.
About the team: The HR department is comprised of professionals dedicated to supporting the business throughout the entire employee life cycle. This is a new role that will partner closely with other HR Business Partner colleagues regularly and other team members of the HR team including but not limited to L&OD, Talent, HRIS just to name a few.
What you’ll do:
- Create and execute innovative and scalable programs that result in increased engagement, education, awareness, and acknowledgement of DEIB and Culture initiatives.
- Lead the implementation and overall management of ERGs and Culture Committee groups – engaging with select business units, sponsors, and the community.
- Support assigned business units with HR matters and serving as the DEI subject matter expert.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred certifications in DEI and/or SHRM - CP.
- 2 plus years of experience preferred, implementing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategies.
- 3-5 years experience as a HR Business Partner.
- Proven track record of driving and implementing innovative diversity and inclusion initiatives with positive results. Working both independently and collaborative.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organization in the Advertising, Marketing or Tech space. Ability to work in an environment where structure is not completely built.
- Demonstrated experience to work with business leaders to devise and implement tailored DEI strategies for specific departments. Passionate about engagement and DEI work.
- Demonstrated ability to drive the execution of multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles as needed to get work done.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, excellent project management skills, and the ability to multi-task with a variety of stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid, Chicago IL (3 days Onsite)
