This position will play a key role in Brady's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion journey, supporting our Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility. In this role, you will help develop and implement our diversity initiatives and strategy to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace, while continuing to cultivate programming and training that support an inclusive environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Recruiting support
- Serve as a key resource for the recruiting team; Assist in identifying recruiting opportunities and building relationships with universities and other external organizations
- Partner with Brady HR and hiring managers to coordinate and/or attend job fairs and other university events; Promote campus activities with appropriate nonprofit partners
- Help create a pipeline program for diverse talent for a variety of roles throughout the organization
- Collect and analyze statistical data to evaluate the company's population in accordance with diversity standards and goals
Inclusion and employee engagement initiatives
- Advise and provide technical support to new and existing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs); Identify opportunities and support employees in the creation of new ERGs
- Promote employee recognition/engagement programs that support inclusivity
- Oversee administrative aspect of scholarship program (National Merit Scholarships) for children of Brady employees
Community involvement
- Identify and coordinate opportunities for employees to engage with nonprofits that the Foundation supports
- Oversee employee volunteer program
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, human resources, business, organizational development or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of best practices and current trends in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion space
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong cultural competency skills
Desired Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Experience in recruitment and outreach
- Understanding of equal employment opportunity laws and regulations
