The opportunity:
You’ll be joining our dynamic Delegated Credit Control team within the Underwriting Support Services department. In this role, your primary focus will be ensuring the timely receipt of funds in line with expected income and contractual agreements, while playing a key part in minimising Aged Debt. You'll also help maintain accurate records and accounts, ensuring smooth financial operations.
As we continue to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies, we’re looking for a candidate who can meet individual and team targets, while actively contributing to the overall success and growth of the department.
What you’ll be doing:
- Proactively chase brokers/coverholders regarding outstanding FDO and premium signings (bureau) or direct settlements (non bureau), retaining chasing comments on core system and maintaining diary system for follow-ups.
- Perform written vs signed investigations - reconciliation of written and settled bordereaux data in order to identify unpaid declarations or data anomalies.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to address problem accounts, meeting with brokers/coverholders to resolve accounting issues.
- Monitor and take appropriate action to clear bureau signing rejections in system, liaising with internal and external parties when needed.
- Reconciliation and allocation of direct settled funds, ensuring accurate processing of technical transactions in core system.
- LPAN Submissions into Xchanging for Syndicate 3000 direct settled funds.
- Assist with monthly / quarterly commentaries and analysis of written vs signed and other ad hoc reports as required for management/underwriters review.
- Work independently and collaboratively in order to achieve individual and team targets and KPIs.
Our must-haves:
- Be able to demonstrate credit control experience and a proven record of ensuring that funds are received and reconciled on a timely basis.
- Have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with brokers/coverholders.
- Have experience of effectively managing and interrogating high volume of data with the ability to create concise and accurate reporting and supply a pertinent interpretation of the result (ideally experience gained from the Insurance Market).
- Demonstrate numerical and analytical skills.
- Possess working knowledge of Excel and be a competent user of MS Office; experience of using Eclipse would be advantageous and aptitude to learn in-house software is essential.
