Delivery Consultant

The Consultant is a technical customer-facing role having paramount impact on customers’ experience with IBM’s API Connect in customer environments. The position is responsible for an exciting range of projects solutions. The ideal candidate will have provided hands-on systems engineering capable of providing consulting services in complex environments.

Candidate will have excellent software and system design skills including knowledge of web applications Kubernetes and Dockers in Linux and Windows environments along with the ability to manage and support customized developments and implementations. Expertise around the IBM Cloud Pak for Integration DataPower App Connect Enterprise and MQ software will be a plus.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• You will work with various industries within the Integration space to deploy Application Programming interface Connect and other IBM Automation solutions extensively in the area of Redhat OCP Devops as well as integration on various platforms and clouds
• Conduct health check and recommend improvements in architecture or configuration based on IBM best practices.
• Perform integration code review based on IBM best practices.
• Design and develop integration flows using IBM software to fulfil customer’s integration requirements.
• Conduct enablement sessions on IBM software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and configuration issues in the customer’s environment.
• Installation and administration of IBM Automation soliutions in this case specifically the IBM API Connect
• RedHat OCP install
• Experience with networking and network security
• Should have knowledge in applying patches and upgrades on APIC. Other Automation solutions is a plus
• Infrastructure design or integration application engineering solution
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Dockers
• Knowledge of the configuration of ethernet interfaces link aggregation and VLAN interfaces
• Knowledge of secure backups and secure restore
• Questions on how to approach architect implement various use cases on transaction security data mediation and transaction routing
• Creating/supporting the formulation of statement of work (SOW). Assessing duration/activities/resources/prerequisites involved in an API Connect engagement
• Application development and/or systems engineering experience
• Technical support or consulting client-facing experience preferably with an organization serving mission-critical operations
• Has proven Project Management skills to provide implementation schedules while adhering to company’s architectural standards and principles
• Has provided technical leadership (Architecture Design Development oversight) and team leadership (planning collaboration conflict resolution driving results) on both small and large technology projects
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration
• Strong scripting skills
• Experience developing and deploying code in a High Availability environment
• Hands-on experience with AWS MS Azure and/or other cloud computing platform.
• Hands-on experience configuring VMware (Workstation / ESXi) environments
• Knowledge of directory service configuration (LDAP and Windows Active Directory)
• Knowledge of Security best practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Must speak both French and English
• 3 years’ experience with public and hybrid cloud
• 3 years’ experience installing/upgrading APIC/DataPower
• 3 years’ experience installing RedHat OCP
• 3 years’ experience with perimeter firewalls Web application firewalls
• 3 years’ experience in Scripting knowledge
• 5 years’ experience in a client-facing role

• Preferred field of study: Computer Science Engineering or a relevant technical field
