Delivery Consultant – Event Streams/Kafka

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Software Engineer you would be responsible for deploying IBM Middleware suite of products with flair knowledge on Scripting.

• Be a trusted Advisor of the Customer on Integration space.
• Work for smooth delivery of assigned projects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic development environment
• Be a hands-on person and deliver.
• Will be involved in product installation/ configurations troubleshooting (performance 3rd party integrations security)
• Based on customer requirements deliver the deployment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 1 -5 years of relevant experience on MQ / EventStream / Kafka tools
• Hands on experience in configuring MQ / EventStream Server and on designing and developing integration interfaces.
• Good experience in MQ / EventStream Administration.
• Knowledge about IBM Cloud Pak for Integration and preferable understanding in IIB to ACE migration
• Knowledge about installation of MQ and its development.
• Understanding different protocols like HTTP MQ FTP RPC etc and XML JSON Delimited data structure Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
• Hand-on experience in designing and implementing IIB/ACE and MQ in high availability clusters.
• Expertise in using Qload Utility RFHUtil and ACE Toolkit and Console.
• Having good programming knowledge in ESQL Java and XSLT.
• Knowledge in deploying BAR files into Integration nodes and servers and administration of flows.
• Knowledge about various network protocols like TCP/IP HTTP SOAP SMTP FTP SFTP.
• Experience in working with Databases like DB2 Oracle etc
• Knowledge in writing database queries and executing them.
• Knowledge about MQ Clustering MQ connections SSL configurations.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understand IBM Event Streams and Apache Kafka concepts.
• Knowledge about the advantages of a fully managed Kafka service like Event Streams.
• Get hands on experience in designing and building Event Streams
• Knowledge in troubleshooting and debugging errors and connectivity issues.
• Strong communication written and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
