Group/Division
The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

KLA Ann Arbor Spares Operations team seeks a data driven individual with a passion to collaborate with cross-functional teams to own the spare parts operational demand forecast for their assigned planning segmentations. This person will functionally support the service organization for one or more planning segmentations. The demand analyst will work closely with Product Planning, Supply Planning, Business Intelligence, and other GSS partner organizations to develop operational demand plans through analysis of demand signals including but not limited to the install base, historical demands, and past and projected failure rates. The demand analyst will look for ways to optimize the spares operational plan to establish right sized global inventory targets to achieve the Spares Delivery Performance KPI.

The role of Demand Analyst will entail working on complex issues where analysis of data or situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Partner with Product Planning, the Business Intelligence team, and GSS partners in the development of demand forecasts (operational forecasts) to support the spares delivery performance goal for assigned segmentations
  • Maintains strong communication path with Product, Supply, and Business Intelligence Organizations ensuring cross functional knowledge transfer allowing to execute and drive best support plan for global customers.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by leading cross-functional activities with Product Planners to understand drivers behind demand variances and recommend adjustments to operational demand forecasts and global inventory targets.
  • Use and maintain the demand planning software as the primary forecasting tool.
  • Uses spare demand planning and forecasting methodologies, and trend/variance root cause analysis to determine corrective adjustments to the planning system generated demand forecast.
  • Document assumptions made when adjusting planning system generated demand forecasts and global inventory targets.
  • Supports and participates as required in projects, partnering with advance analytics team to develop data sets and sophisticated reports, dashboard with multiple and different analytics views and dynamic visualizations to facilitate fast business decisions impacting the supply chain.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand forecast planning process.
  • Report out on KPI metrics.
  • Propose and aid in the implementation solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy and process improvements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferably with a concentration in Supply Chain Management
  • Process oriented with proven experience turning big data into meaningful analyses that lead to actionable results for supply chain operations
  • Track record of creating process and improve business performance
  • Strong data and analytical skills and track record for creating processes to improve business performance
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, identify gaps, and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Lead thru curiosity and continuous improvements
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Background in statistics and probability is a plus
  • Experience with Excel, Power BI or other business intelligence/analytical tools/services is a plus
  • Should enjoy a challenging and fast paced environment.
  • Self-driven, independent, yet a strong team player.
  • Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a passion for speed, agility, simplification, and proactive action
