As a Master Data Lead at Rockwell, you will be a critical driver of our master data strategy, ensuring the integrity, quality, and strategic utilization of customer, account, contact and product master data within our Salesforce ecosystem. As part of our Demand to Renew (D2R) program, we will be implementing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. You will bring thought leadership and lead the team in defining master data standards, metrics for data quality, and establishing data governance policies that are critical to the success of our digital initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee complex data integration and consolidation efforts while leveraging any domain-specific expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Standards and Governance
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data standards and data dictionaries for the Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security within these Salesforce platforms, including using APIs for automated data validation and cleansing.
Data Integration and Consolidation
- Leverage APIs to automate data integration, validation, and cleansing processes.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage data integration solutions that facilitate seamless data flows across Salesforce and other relevant systems.
- Oversee data consolidation efforts to ensure that data from various sources is harmonized and accessible for analytics, reporting, and business insights.
Data Quality Assurance
- Define and implement data quality frameworks and methodologies to assess, monitor, and enhance data quality within Salesforce.
- Develop and track data quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data management efforts, including API-driven data quality enhancements.
- Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams for resolution.
Domain-Specific Knowledge:
- Leverage domain expertise in industrial automation or manufacturing sector to ensure data initiatives align with industry-specific requirements, standards, and best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in industrial automation to inform data management strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering their growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data engineering, and business units, to align data initiatives with organizational goals and drive data-driven decision-making.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, and data integration, with a specific focus on Salesforce.com or comparable platforms.
- Strong proficiency in data management tools and technologies, including data integration platforms, data quality tools, and API integration.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills in data-related roles, including managing data teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification in data management, Salesforce.com, or related fields is a plus.
- Experience in the industrial automation or manufacturing sector is a plus.
