Job Description

Department: Solutions Consulting

Airtable is the no-code app platform that empowers people closest to the work to accelerate their most critical business processes. More than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100, rely on Airtable to transform how work gets done.

As a Demo Engineer at Airtable, you’ll be the technical backbone of our Pre Sales Solutions Consulting team, designing, building, and maintaining a library of compelling demo assets that showcase the transformative power of Airtable. This is a unique opportunity to blend engineering, creativity, and storytelling—turning complex business challenges into elegant, AI-forward Airtable solutions that drive customer engagement and accelerate sales. If you thrive at the intersection of technology and innovation, and love building tools that empower others, this role is for you.

What you'll do

  • Design and build custom, high-quality Airtable bases, interfaces, automations, and integrations to support the pre sales cycle across diverse industries and use cases
  • Develop and maintain a scalable, AI-forward demo asset library for Solutions Consultants to quickly adapt and deploy in customer-facing engagements
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants and Account Executives to understand prospect requirements and translate them into polished, story-driven demos
  • Build proof-of-concept Airtable environments that mirror real customer workflows, including industry-specific data structures and operational logic
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and enablement materials to help the SC team effectively leverage and customize demo assets
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to integrate new Airtable features into demo assets as they launch
  • Support live customer evaluations by rapidly customizing or extending demos in response to evolving technical requirements
  • Assist with RFP/RFI responses, technical discovery, and competitive evaluations from a demo and platform depth perspective
  • Continuously improve the quality, coverage, and reusability of the demo library based on field feedback
  • Drive efficiencies for the SC organization by reducing time spent creating assets and increasing asset utilization

Who you are

  • 0–4 years of professional experience in a technical role such as solutions engineering, software development, business intelligence, technical consulting, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with no-code/low-code platforms; Airtable experience or certification is a strong differentiator
  • Demonstrated ability to build structured, relational data models and translate business logic into functional workflows
  • Exposure to APIs, webhooks, and basic integration patterns (e.g., Zapier, Make, REST APIs) is highly valued
  • Strong intuition for relational database design and data architecture best practices
  • Ability to build sophisticated Airtable bases, including multi-table schemas, linked records, rollups, formulas, views, and interface designer pages
  • Comfort with automation logic, conditional workflows, triggered actions, and multi-step sequences
  • Familiarity with scripting (JavaScript preferred) to extend Airtable functionality via the Scripting extension or API
  • Working knowledge of data visualization and presenting information for different stakeholder personas
  • Understanding of enterprise software concepts including user permissions, data governance, and workflow management
  • Fluent with various AI models and excited to utilize agents and MCPs
  • Builder mentality with a passion for creating innovative solutions from scratch and refining them to excellence
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in crafting well-structured, intuitive solutions
  • Curious, proactive learner who explores new Airtable features and adjacent technologies
  • Effective communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical collaborators
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and asset requests simultaneously
  • Collaborative team player who actively shares knowledge and contributes to team-wide improvement
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, and resourceful
  • Purposeful, thoughtful, and detail-oriented
  • Enthusiastic about emerging technology trends
  • Growth mindset, open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
