About Skiptown:

Our 52,000 sq ft indoor and outdoor space in RiNo offers dog daycare, boarding, grooming, training and a social bar - and will soon expand to include retail. 

The Dog Training Supervisor will help lead the Dog Training Services team in providing excellent service and training for our dog customers and their people while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal Dog Training Supervisor is someone who…..

• Previous experience as a lead dog trainer
• A passion for working with dogs and a commitment to positive reinforcement training methods
• Availability for a full-time schedule
• Supports their team, proactively fixes problems and finds solutions
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment 

As our Dog Training Supervisor you will…. 

• Prepare the class schedule and resolving staffing issues in timely manner
• Provide onsite support, filling in for classes as needed to ensure highest level of quality and safety
  
• Oversee the daily schedule 
• Ensure client report and homework assignment quality and timeliness
• Conduct inventory counts, ensuring that training has all supplies needed to deliver service
• Help build a high performing, engaged team. Have coaching conversation/delivering feedback on issues. Escalating disciplinary issues and documenting - to manage

• Conduct individual and on-leash group training sessions for dogs of varying ages and breeds
• Evaluate and address behavioral issues using positive reinforcement techniques
• Educate pet owners on effective training methods and techniques
• Stay updated on the latest training trends and methodologies
• Ensure a safe and positive training environment for both dogs and owners
• Facilitate intermediate training classes and above
• Ability to create individualized training programs based on client needs

Requirements:

• Positive reinforcement training background
• CPDT-KA Training Certification preferred or minimum of 100 hours training experience
