INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts on Amphibious ship Combat Systems for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department, Amphibious Combat Systems.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Department Management Analyst supports the Department Manager and the Department Office on the CVN/L-Class Support Services contract. This candidate will ensure that Department Management stakeholders are kept informed on all issues ranging from tracking and briefing on daily report status, coordinating project efforts, and overseeing SharePoint website development in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Modernization and Installation Department.This position is located in Oxnard, CA (Pt. Hueneme).

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate monthly, weekly and daily reports from Department Manager, Department Officer, Chief Engineer, Chief Logistician, Business Operation Manager and Principal Staff Leads of work performed, work planned, and issues noted and consolidate the input into a single periodic report.
  • Prepare Program Related Engineering (PRE)/Program Related Logistics (PRL) metrics and presentations in support of Program Reviews.
  • Track and report metrics and measures of effectiveness for all command/sponsor tasking, monitor work in progress, and develop work around plans or corrective actions as required.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule identifying all Surface platforms undergoing availabilities, Window of Opportunity, Continuous Modernization Availability, test events and other events as directed by the Government.
  • Develop associated metrics as required, to include quarterly events, sand charts, and personnel manning requirements.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
  • At least five (5) years of experience providing program/project management, data analytics, SharePoint development, and/or combat systems support to a Navy federal program office.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft suite programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex data sets and presenting insights visually using tools like Python, R, and Tableau.
  • Demonstrated experience developing engaging multimedia presentations, effectively communicating key messages, and incorporating diverse content.
  • Demonstrated experience spearheading the development of SharePoint portals, emphasizing operational efficiency and effective governance.
  • Must possess knowledge of installation, maintenance, and operation of complex naval warfare technologies, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing maintenance activities for combat systems, including scheduling, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring compliance with maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in preparing technical documentation, including Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), reports, strategic plans, and equipment manuals, to support maintenance and operational activities.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and as part of a group when needed.
  • The individual must be able to clearly and concisely articulate technical subject matter both written and verbally to senior level management.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in project management methodologies, coordinating diverse teams and resources to achieve project objectives efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience handling data calls and being able to interpret requests made with short turnaround times to meet mission.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience providing program/project management, data analytics, SharePoint development, and/or combat systems support to a Navy federal program office desired.
  • Prior experience briefing senior-level Navy personnel desired.
  • Familiarity with various combat systems in use aboard U.S. Navy ships desired.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, practices, and risk mitigation, highlighting a strong commitment to information security desired.
  • Prior shipboard testing and integration experience aboard a DDG, CG, CVN or LPD 17 classes of ships desired.

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $80,000. - $120,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
