Job Description
Your Opportunity as the Department Manager
Make a positive impact leading the Peanut Butter operations area of our Memphis facility to ensure optimal production of our famous Jif products. Leverage your leadership skills to coach and inspire your team to achieve key metrics and create a positive working environment with a focus on safety and quality.
Location: Memphis, TN
Work Arrangements: 100% onsite
In this role you will:

Develop & deliver department master plan and manage the daily results of the work – includes equipment layout, team design/staffing, results managementÂ

Develop capability and leadership characteristics of Peanut Butter Area Leaders and Operations Process Engineers
-
Responsible for meeting Quality, Safety, Reliability, and Cost targets for plant operations
-
Collaborate with other plant functions in order to ensure all production needs are met
-
Coordinate activities to increase Operations Excellence methodologies throughout the plant to improve metrics
-
Coach others on overall plant product flow including all inputs and outputs
-
Maintain open lines of communication with corporate Research & Development teams and Engineering departments

Identify and eliminate losses from the operation; Lead in solving issues to cause and implement improvements

Manage capital projects to improve Operations measures in the areas of capacity growth, production efficiencies, Quality, and Safety

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in technical field
-
5+ years of manufacturing experience
-
Previous experience managing others
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong organization skills
-
Experience directing and managing vendors
-
Ability to teach and lead others
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

Food processing or manufacturing experience

Experience in a high-performance work environment
