Deployment Engineer

Description

The Deployment Engineer migrates, upgrades, and configures hardware, and Tyler software for on-premise and in the cloud customers. Continued growth in ever-evolving infrastructure, Hypervisors, Server Operating Systems, and technology provides an exciting and challenging work environment.

The Deployment Engineer interacts directly with clients to meet and/or exceed stated departmental upgrade goals to stay current with Tyler software versions. Giving customers the opportunity to take advantage of all enhancements and warranty items to improve the customer experience. This position is within Client Success.

Responsibilities

• Performs upgrade services for existing clients in a live production 9-1-1 system according to schedule.
• Triage and querying databases on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Installs and configures web servers and deploys web products to clients.
• Learn and work with AWS Server Infrastructure.
• Consults with other departments to ensure safe deployment within live customer environments and collaborate with other teams to improve upgrade process.
• Documents results of service work performed for use by internal staff and customers.
• Position may require either travel to client sites or off-hours coverage based on customer demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, or comparable work experience.
• Experience administering and installing applications on Windows.
• Experience configuring the Microsoft SQL Server database engine.
• Working knowledge of server hardware and network configurations.
• Basic knowledge of web server technology, .NET framework, and SSL security.
• Basic knowledge of web certificates is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in stressful situations.
• Ability to adapt to day-to-day challenges.
