Deployment Engineer - Co-Op - North America

This is a Co-Op opportunity for college students interested in learning firsthand how a leader in supply chain automation deploys fleets of robots to warehouses around the world. An ideal candidate possesses supply chain, robotics, or mechanical/industrial engineering experience. We are looking for driven and independent students with a proven track record of success to join our wicked awesome Implementation team. This role requires a unique mix of project management, robotic systems, software troubleshooting, and customer service skills. Key Activities:

As a Deployment Engineering Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to implement a fleet of robots at customer sites across the US. You will gain hands-on experience with our proprietary robotic mapping software, support customer “go-lives'', and work cross-functionally with our engineering, solutions, and customer success teams. The robotics industry is rapidly growing and the deployment of the technology is a demand that will continue to expand. 

• Learn about the supply chain industry by traveling to warehouses to test and prepare customers for go-live
• Train and communicate with customer warehouse associates, site managers, and supply chain executives
• Assist in updating documentation including customer project plans, process flows, and onboarding materials 
• Build, troubleshoot, and update fleet maps to support deployment milestones
• Make customers raving fans of our product

Projects

Supporting the Deployment team with projects include (but not limited to):

• Travel to customer sites for critical on-site weeks during the deployment process
• Partner with technicians to build and test movement of robots for new and existing customer sites
• Create ad hoc dashboards and reports within the Implementation team’s project management tool
• Create onboarding documentation to improve the Implementation new hire onboarding experience and optimize the ramp process

Schedule:

• Expected 40 hrs / week
• Working on assigned projects
• Assisting team members on projects
• Assisting in the support of a customer site(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate student (rising juniors or greater)
• Pursuing an engineering or technical degree 
• Advanced coursework in Computer Science or Mechanical, Industrial and/or Systems Engineering
• Effective and professional written and verbal communication
• Able to work independently in remote environments
• Experience/willingness to work in warehouse environments using hand tools
• Working knowledge of Linux based systems and command line interfaces is a plus (but not required – we’ll teach you!)
• Familiarity with remote work tools (Google workspace tools, Slack, Jira)
