About Mobile Networks

Mobile Networks, which includes mobile network products, network deployment and technical support services, and related network management. This business group will offer the full portfolio for customers wanting to buy mobile access networks. It target leadership in key technologies such as 5G, ORAN and vRAN.

Job Description

Manages all the Microwave deployment management activities defined in Customer contract, in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance phase. Acts as primary deployment interface and first deployment escalation point within the Customer project.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

Customer interface

  • Communicates and gets approval from Customer for site standard design & details and materials.
  • Interface with customer construction works manager to review and discuss progress and resolve issues.
  • Provide required progress information for customer needs.
  • Participation in customer interfaces and meetings with local authorities as requested by project management.
  • Deployment Team establishment
  • Builds and maintains an organizational structure for the project customer team together with Nokia region/sub region management organization.
  • work planning
  • Prepares rollout schedule together with project manager and regional project manager, based on realistic lead times.
  • Ensures construction works and site design activities meet project requirements.
  • Ensure construction works resources are properly considered and demand plan is prepared.
  • Follow up subcontractors' resources.
  • Prepare and implement corrective actions.

Meetings and reporting

  • Supports Customer PM in preparation/updating of roll-out schedule.
  • Support Customer PM in preparing Quality Plan and Risk Management.
  • Participates in "daily" progress meeting with project team.
  • Reports to project manager all equipment implementation deviations from the original planning, i.e. Extra works, delays, cancellations, etc
  • Cooperation with other functions
  • Cooperates with network planning, site acquisition, implementation and design manager for development of model sites, site design and site selection to ensure cost efficient site solutions are in use.
  • Ensures all local standards and regulations are considered and Nokia standards and guidelines are followed.

    • Certification control
    • Scope of work
    • Bid request/review
    • Service supplier selection
  • Deployment material ordering and tracking
  • Establish, track and report deployment project budget
    • Identify financial risks
    • Mitigate costs overrun
    • Supply supporting financial impact to establish customer facing change-order
  • In the project, interface for construction works service suppliers and responsible for following up their performance.
  • Support in organizing training for service supplier teams.
  • Tools usage and data update
  • Manages the Implementation process according to agreed time schedule with the project and the customer.
  • Owner of delivery related milestones in project schedule tool.
  • Project documentation for deployment owner
    • Technical Site Survey Report
    • Work Package / Playbooks
    • Method of Procedure
    • Site Close Out Package
  • Ensures document control and storage system is set up and used properly.
  • Specifies and enables project specific handover documentation with the customer.
  • Ensures services delivery management based on PMI principles and in full alignment with Nokia MoM and applicable BL guidelines

Qualifications

Preferable to have more than 5 years of Microwave TM Experience (i.e. technical management of deployment and O&M scope in Microwave Networks)

Microwave (i.e. Nokia Wavence) Networks technical expertise, including referring MW OSS (NE / NM) portfolio

Experience in managing integration activities & referring troubleshooting

Being familiar with Microwave Portfolio Roadmaps (NPI, Phase-out etc)
