Depot Technician 

The Position:

Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Depot Technician to join our growing team. This role is vital to our operations, ensuring the efficient handling, distribution, and management of IT equipment.

Role Specific Duties:

• Storing, shipping, and receiving IT equipment assets, which will include workstations, laptops, tablets, thin client devices, mobile devices, and other devicesperipherals
• Warehousing and equipment distribution services
• Imaging, installation, and configuration of operating system(s) and software
• Oversee inventory, monitor, and track customer deliveries and returns to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Equipment excessing and recycling to include drive sanitization/destruction services
• Conduct minor repairs and refurbishment of IT equipment to extend its lifecycle and maintain operational efficiency.
• Hardware IT Asset Management (ITAM): Support IT asset management processes to track and manage hardware assets effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in reading and capable of communicating effectively in English.
• Must possess basic math skills and be familiar with the use of personal computers.
• Must be comfortable with standing, bending, lifting, and walking for most of the day.
• Should be comfortable lifting and carrying moderately heavy material (up to 50 lbs.)
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
