Job Description

Team: IT

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Deputy CTO in Belgium.

This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of engineering execution, product strategy, and large-scale delivery transformation. You will be responsible for shaping how technology organizations operate, ensuring fast, predictable, and high-quality product delivery across complex, distributed systems. The role focuses on improving time-to-market, optimizing SDLC processes, and aligning engineering execution with business priorities. You will act as a key technical partner to product leadership, helping translate roadmap ambitions into scalable and feasible engineering plans. A strong emphasis is placed on building structured delivery frameworks, improving cross-functional alignment, and removing bottlenecks across teams. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership position requiring deep technical credibility and strong organizational influence. You will play a critical role in driving efficiency, predictability, and impact across global product teams.

  • Provide technical validation and challenge product requirements when needed based on system constraints
  • Present delivery status, risks, and technical strategies to executive leadership in a clear, data-driven manner

  • Requirements

This role requires strong technical leadership experience, deep understanding of delivery systems, and the ability to operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and executive strategy.

    • Extensive experience in SDLC optimization, delivery management, and large-scale engineering execution
    • Strong background in IT project management frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
    • Proven ability to reduce time-to-market and improve delivery predictability in complex environments
    • Experience acting as a technical partner to product leadership and managing business backlogs
    • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and product analytics
    • Ability to translate business requirements into technical execution plans and system designs
    • Solid technical foundation in modern architectures including distributed systems, microservices, event-driven systems, and CI/CD pipelines
    • Strong software engineering background with ability to assess architectural feasibility and scalability
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
    • Strong communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
    • Fluency in Russian is required
    • Benefits
