Summary
The Deputy Director, DLA Information Operations is responsible to the Director, DLA Information Operations for the effective management of the information operations policies and processes affecting Headquarters, field, and numerous DoD-wide systems. Responsibilities affect the operations of classified and unclassified systems and networks supporting DLA and DoD missions. The incumbent provides executive direction and management of the IT and telecommunications facilities and resources.

- All newly appointed career SES members must sign the Reassignment Rights and Obligation Agreement as a condition of appointment into the SES in accordance with DoD Directive 1403.03.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQs):
Must Address the TQs that follow to be considered.
- Demonstrated senior level experience in planning, designing, developing, testing, evaluating, implementing, prototyping, costing, and acquiring information systems necessary to support the mission of a worldwide organization with electronic business activities.
- Experience leading and managing global information technology organizations and programs, including planning and formulating policy, defining program needs and in developing strategies, systems and capabilities to meet those needs. Includes the ability to clearly communicate highly technical information within the Agency and externally to various government and private sector entities.

DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE:
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has established a Drug-Free Federal Workplace Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for DLA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with DLA for a period of six months. This policy extends to random testing for the use of illegal drugs by employees who occupy testing designated positions defined as sensitive in Section 7(d) of Executive Order 12564. The Defense Logistics Agency's Drug Free Workplace Plan's drug testing panel includes testing for the following illegal substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates (codeine/morphine), 6-Acetylmorphine (heroin), phencyclidine, amphetamines (amphetamine/methamphetamine), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, and hydromorphone.
