Forbes Marketplace is looking for an editor with credit card writing and editing experience to join the Forbes Marketplace team as Deputy Editor.

The Deputy Editor, Credit Cards would be responsible for writing and editing content that covers topics related to credit cards and credit, including credit card reviews, best credit card lists and news. You’d be responsible for generating story ideas, managing best product listings and product reviews, and updating an existing library of content. We want to help guide our readers to make the best choices through best-ofs, product reviews, engaging content and data- and SEO-driven journalism. Responsibilities:

• Help the managing editor build and scale credit card’s content efforts, including managing the day-to-day content workflow
• Find, recruit and set up new freelancers. Train and support freelancers on how to use Forbes Marketplace tools and style guides
• Work with the managing editor to build best practices for the credit cards editorial team, including content, templates, imagery and social media standards
• Leverage data and SEO best practices to create monthly topics for freelancers that include explanatory content, how-tos, roundups, best-ofs and product reviews
• Work collaboratively with the global editorial team, creating best practices worldwide for the space
• Edit and produce editorial content
• Build methodologies to rate and rank related products and services for best-ofs (example: Best Cash Back Credit Cards)
• Brainstorm and contribute to social content including video series, features and original photography efforts

Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in credit card journalism
• 3-5 years of experience in online journalism
• Demonstrably strong understanding of the credit card space
• Experience with SEO best practices, willingness to learn and expand SEO skills
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy
