We're looking for a Derivative Operations Analyst to support day-to-day operations, ensuring all relevant processing and maintenance functions are completed accurately, within prescribed timeframes, and in accordance with established departmental procedures.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure proper trade capture of new Interest Rate Derivative transactions and their lifecycle events including terminations, amendments, assignments, exercises and expirations.
  • Ensure various market rates are accurately input by cutoff times.
  • Deliver rate reset/settlement advices to clients on respective fixing dates.
  • Acquire and sustain solid knowledge of all systems and applications that are utilized, including their limitations and required workarounds.
  • Investigate trade and settlement breaks and interact with internal business partners, clients or clearing brokers to resolve them.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries timely and with professionalism.
  • Provide training and guidance to offshore and onshore team members.
  • Ensure established procedures and controls are adhered to.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of other units within the department and effectively interface with those units when required.
  • Periodically review operating manuals and perform updates as needed.
  • Participate in projects or ad hoc initiatives and assist with testing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years Derivative operations experience within a banking/investment banking environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Effectively time manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and in written form)
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Able to adapt quickly to change, work under pressure and within a deadline oriented environment
  • Possess basic knowledge of standard ISDA Definitions
  • Knowledge of Interest Rate Derivative products required
