Job Description:

Performs a wide range of CAD design assignments in support of the mechanical engineering organization including the editing of models and/or drawing, notes provided by engineering. Assures design documentation complies with the program requirements, organization's processes and industry standards. Prepares accurate drawings and schematics with proper tolerances, dimensions and instructions, with oversight from senior designers. Essential functions include:

• Provide CAD support (PTC Creo) throughout the product development process
• Generate and/or modify product's models, drawings and documentation
• Support the control of mechanical digital data files and drawings
• Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders
• Input data and assure hardware structures are acurate in a Product Data Management tool
• Work under general supervision
• Support resolution of problems/issues in CAD design/drawings and provide corrective actions.
• Compliance with command media & standard
• Experience with L3Harris products

Essential Functions:

• Entry level utilization of solid modeling/drawing application such as PTC Creo Parametrci or Solidworks.
• Mechanical aptitude and general understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with applicable government and industry standards including ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ASME Y14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices).
• Work under general supervision

Qualifications:

Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Proficient at using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
