Job Description

Your mission: 

You’ll be leading designers of all crafts, working across multiple cross-functional teams that make up the Account squad here at Wise. We’re designing the world’s first multi-currency account that lets people without borders use money without borders. In this role you’ll redefine how people manage, grow and spend money all over the world. 

Here’s how you’ll be contributing

• Collaborating with your Product and Engineering partners to lead the Squad, set the vision, define strategy and coach the teams to deliver it

• You’ll be lead for all the designers in the squad. Directing their work, mentoring them and supporting them to grow

• Planning and prioritising the work, hiring and onboarding new designers as needed

• Working with Design leaders from other squads to build a single, seamless experience for customers

• Using your Design Leadership skills to level up quality, maturity and alignment across the Accounts squad.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Support and grow a talented design team, and be the best lead they’ve ever had

• Guide teams to deliver impact, and ship work you’re proud of

• Be hands on, leading through the work and setting the bar

• Elevate product quality. You define what ‘good’ looks like in the squad. And help them deliver it.

• Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money.

Qualifications

About you: 

• You’re an accomplished Design Leader with several years experience leading teams to ship world-class consumer products

• You have a sharp eye for quality, and you know how to support designers and team to deliver it

• You’re influential and inspiring, able to lead others in a culture that values autonomy and empowerment

• You’re highly empathetic, both to customers and the people you work with

• You’re a trusted partner, building effective relationships with your peers across the business
