Design Director

Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Design Director of UX Practice to lead our growing UX team and elevate the user experience across all our products and services for manufacturing customers. You will be responsible for defining the UX vision and strategy, fostering a user-centric culture, and building a best-in-class UX practice that drives business growth.

Responsibilities:• Develop and implement a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with business goals and user needs.• Lead and mentor a team of UX researchers, designers, and other UX professionals.• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the entire product development lifecycle.• Conduct and oversee design workshops, user research, including user interviews, usability testing, and A/B testing.• Develop and implement UX best practices across the organization.• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing.• Stay up-to-date on the latest UX trends, methodologies, and tools.• Create and maintain a strong UX design system.• Communicate UX research findings and design recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.• Manage UX budgets and timelines effectively.

Qualifications:• Minimum 15+ years of experience leading a UX team in a fast-paced environment.• Proven track record of building and scaling a high-performing UX practice.• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies (e.g., user research, user testing, prototyping).• Strong experience with UX research methods (e.g., user interviews, surveys, usability testing).• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.• Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe, InVision).• A passion for building user-centric products and experiences.
