Do you thrive on pushing the boundaries of what's possible in microelectronics? Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Design Enablement Engineer to join our growing team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving innovation by empowering our design teams with cutting-edge EDA tools, flows, and methodologies.

What You Will Do:

• Be the go-to expert for our analog and mixed-signal design teams, providing solutions to their most challenging EDA tool and methodology needs.
• Design, develop, and support new custom tools and flows to streamline and optimize our design and verification processes.
• Become a master of industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens, Ansys), ensuring our teams have the resources they need to excel.
• Create clear and concise design and application documentation to maximize the effectiveness of our EDA environment.
• Collaborate with global design centers to champion standardization, promote design reuse, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

What You Need:

• BSEE or MSEE degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the trenches of analog and mixed-signal IC design, with a deep understanding of tools and methodologies.
• Solid foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
• Hands-on expertise with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens) for IC design and verification.
• A scripting language wizard, fluent in Perl, Python, TCL, or Skill – you make automation magic happen.
• Excellent communicator, able to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.

Interested in Expanding Your Skillset? Familiarity with these areas is beneficial: 

• Familiarity with the entire custom IC design flow (schematic capture, simulation, layout, MASK/GDS generation).
• Experience with digital design, RTL coding (Verilog, SystemVerilog), and UVM.
• Working knowledge of version control systems like SOS, Git, or Perforce.
• Understanding of modeling concepts and simulation techniques for digital circuits and systems.
