Design Engineer

Your Job

Interconnect Systems is looking for an electro-mechanical design engineer to help create new electronic industry components for our customers.

Our Team

• Design and develop new products (concepts, related feasibility research, cost quotes, timelines, etc) based on customer/engineering specifications.
• Support manufacturing with new design reviews, timely release of drawings, production issues.
• Understand ISI manufacturing capabilities to support design duties.

What You Will Do:

Complete documentation (drawing, BOM) for designs. Manage document control, ECNs and release of drawings. Work closely with manufacturing on continuous product improvement and cost reduction plans.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 2+ years of electro-mechanical design experience
• 2+ years of experience in 2D and 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
• Good understanding of metals and plastics processing
• Ability to perform tolerance analysis
• Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control)

What Will Put You Ahead

• PCB and SMT process understanding/experience
• 2+ years of experience working with customers on new product design
• Project management
