Design Engineer (EWIS)

Opportunity: Our client is looking for a Design Engineer (EWIS) who will be responsible for the design of wire harnesses and electromechanical interconnection systems for flight critical hardware.
Requirements: You have 3+ years of experience with electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) in the aerospace or EV industries.
Requirements
Core responsibilities
- Electromechanical interconnection design under aerospace standards
- Communicate with vendors and materials selection
- Create BOMs from product lifecycle management solutions
- Ensure wire harnesses are supported and protected
- Collaborate with test engineers to plan acceptance and qualification tests
Required
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Solid experience in product data management (PDM)
- Experience with Catia, Solidworks, PRo/E, etc.
- Understanding of SAE AS50881, AC 43. 13 Ch.11, ASTM F2639 and other EWIS aerospace standards
Ideal candidate
- M.S. in related discipline
- 10+ years of experience working with EWIS
- Experience with Electrical 3D Design (part design), Electrical Manufacturing Preparation, Generative Shape Design, and Assembly Design
- Experience with ERP/MRP/PLM
