Design Engineer II

The Present Product Design Team is integral to overall success of the Organization by providing comprehensive solutions regarding the maintenance and continuous improvements of products to meet all performance objectives and customer requirements through their entire product lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working closely with design engineers and designer resources in support of present product business goals.
• Generate and convert ideas into working design solutions while working independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate and implement solutions in support of warranty incident and cost reduction.
• Determine and implement designs in support of better manufacturability in fabrication and product assembly.
• Provide and present design solutions for review by product and management teams.
• Direct/evaluate design through 3D modeling, drafting, tooling and testing.
• Conduct cost analysis and other feasibility studies.
• Willingness to work with internal and external customers.
• Write and manage engineering change requests and notices (CRs and CNs) to improve products.
• Self-starter who is able to satisfy their goals and timelines.
• Determine and coordinate test requirements and analyze results against product requirements.
• Plan, schedule, and organize projects.
