Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design downhole completion tools using Solid-works drafting software
- Conduct testing of prototype products
- Assist with sustaining existing products
- Perform design calculations and layouts
- Utilize PDM software
- Answer technical queries about products
- Assist with manufacturing engineering aspects related to products.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum four-year Bachelor's Engineering degree is required. Prefer the degree is from an ABET accredited University. Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred.
- 5-10 years of relevant design experience is required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with hands on assembly and testing of downhole tools is preferred.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
- Applicant should be able to function well in a team setting.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES'
- Solid-works drafting software experience is desired but not required if the applicant has proficiency with other 3D modeling software
- FEA experience is desired but not required
- PDM software experience
- Teamcenter or other engineering database software experience is desired but not required.
- Ability to perform hand calculations and free body diagrams is required.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
