Position Overview:

The RRT (Rapid Response Team) is an engineering design team that works to quickly resolve any engineering build issues that are found during the manufacturing of the aircraft seats, suits, and front row furniture. The RRT intern will work with design engineers in the RRT team, via remote collaboration, to assist them with their design tasks. The intern will be assigned research and design tasks in support of team projects.

Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. Regardless of your role type, collaboration and innovation are critical to our business and all employees will have access to digital tools so they can work with colleagues around the world - and access to Collins sites when their work requires in-person meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Updating cad models in NX, creating and revising technical drawings for a wide variety of commodity types.
• Writing engineer change notices that documents the proposed change to the design and Bill of Material.
• Conducting root cusses analysis of identified build issues so as to determine the engineering correct action.
• Research, document, and propose various types solutions to requests from manufacturing using web based ticket tracking tools.
• Use of Microsoft office apps such as Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Word.

Basic Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• Must be a US citizen
