Design Insights Specialist

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Design Insights Specialist on the Design Team! This role is onsite.

Position Summary:

Design Insights Specialist position will focus on new-platform development, cross-business unit collaboration, and advanced design insights for the NA market. Responsible for everything from the initial research to concept definition. Must have a passion for insight generation from digital sources.

Key position in bridging the gap between Design, Product Planning, and Digital Transformation Teams. This is a new position with no previous definition and will report direct to the Creative Director of NA Innovation Design Lab, working close to define process and push implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Think strategically to identify user needs, interpret market challenges, and define experiences

• Utilize LG customer data resources to define and enhance consumer experience.

• Focus on Product Service solutions

• A designer that believes in data, and is naturally data curious, that can bridge between data and tangible design insights.

• Contribute to internal pitches and business development efforts.

• Influence consumer experience, promote creativity and innovation throughout the company

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Industrial Design, UX, CX, UI, or Data Analytics with an interest in design.

• Have 3-5 years' demonstrated experience creating and developing innovative concepts targeted for production, driven by insight, research, and digital marketing.

• Demonstrate strong fundamentals in experience design, and an ability to produce multiple solutions to a single problem.

• Have experience working with product management teams and have contributed to product roadmap definition as well as aspects of interface design.

• Effectively collaborate and communicate in cross-functional teams to tackle all aspects of a design.

• Balance multiple projects at different stages and bringing unique perspectives to each.

• Express a desire to learn more about new innovations and technologies and share what you learn with other team members.

• Be fluent in common design software for both insight compiling and visualization, and self-sufficient in the creation of preliminary design concepts and presentations.

• Understand the benefits, possibilities, and constraints of designing cross platform and for both hardware and UX simultaneously

• Be open to interfacing and working with other sectors like Marketing, Product Planning, Engineering, and UI Development regularly.
