Design Intern (Winter/Spring 2023)

POSITION PROFILE

Our next Intern is an enthusiastic, self-starter who is creative and able to multi-task.  This role is hands-on and affords a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of content creation at a communications agency.  Core responsibilities of this role include the design of both printed and digital creative assets such as evites, infographics, factsheets, social media content, presentation decks and creative mock-ups.

As part of a small dynamic content creation team they will work with all members, including senior leadership, creative directors, designers, art directors, copywriters and producers.

This person must possess a high level of flexibility, technical capacity and time management skills. Additionally, it is imperative that this person demonstrate a proactive approach, personal effectiveness, the ability to collaborate and to keep composure under pressure.

This exciting opportunity is available for those college students and recent college graduates who are available to work Monday through Friday from 9am until 6pm.  The internship is three (3) to six (6) months in duration and is paid at $15.00/hour.

• Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, composition and other design principles
• Ability to adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline
• Basic animation skills in After Effects a huge plus
• Experience of Microsoft PowerPoint is desired but not essential
