About Method

🔮 Founded in 2021 Method enables real-time access to user financial data and enables seamless liability repayment. Method’s mission is to make personal finance more autonomous. With Method’s APIs financial institutions credit unions banks and financial management apps can embed loan repayment data balance transfers and bill pay automation into their user journey. As a result Method is improving accessibility and control over financial information via open finance.

As a small tight-knit team we value finding team members who are passionate about building scaling all while having fun together! While we have our own roles to fill we often find ourselves wearing multiple hats. No day is the same when you’re building from scratch. Some of us are based at Method HQ in Austin TX and others are based in Washington D.C.

The Impact

As Method’s Design Lead you will be part of our founding product team and will have an integral part in growing and evolving our product experience as our company scales. You will work cross collaboratively with our Leadership Sales Marketing and Engineering teams to build high quality experiences for our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead project/initiatives – help define strategy objectives and vision for company brand website product design & user experience

• Design thoughtful intuitive interfaces that make our API effortless to use

• Partner with the engineering team to implement features ensuring it matches your vision

• Implement web animations and interaction-heavy product launch materials

• Review concepts designs mockups and prototypes with stakeholders through the product development cycle to improve the quality of our product and ensure value to our users

• Propose iterations and improvements to the existing product based on qualitative and quantitative data design best practices and accessibility standards

  Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience as an end-to-end product designer with a proven track record of shipping high quality work

• You have a strong portfolio that showcases the end-to-end design process from understanding customer needs through polished visual design

• Experience working in a fast paced startup or coming in as the first Designer on the team

• A strong communicator that thrives with cross-functional collaboration

  Extra Awesome

• Experience in fintech and/or API related products
