This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Design Lead (Remote). In this role, you will spearhead the design strategy for an e-commerce agency, leading a talented design team and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your expertise will be key in transforming client needs into impactful design solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity to mentor designers and ensure the delivery of user-centric solutions that align with business objectives, creating a significant impact in the e-commerce space.
Accountabilities
Transform client needs and challenges into persuasive design solutions with consultative presentations.Identify and communicate design problems and propose creative, user- and business-focused solutions.Apply expert knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and conversion rate optimization.Utilize qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform design recommendations.Incorporate motion graphics, animation, and email marketing design where applicable.Articulate and negotiate design decisions with clients.Manage design deliverables, including maintaining design systems and component libraries.Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, prioritize tasks, and manage timelines across multiple projects.Coordinate design hand-offs to development and quality assurance teams and support implementation.Provide timely updates via project management tools and communicate effectively across teams.Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of designers, including hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.Facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and collaboration across disciplines.Support project managers with design-related queries and estimations.Requirements
5+ years of relevant design experience with at least 2 years focused on e-commerce website design.Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch and Adobe XD; intermediate skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.Strong understanding of UX design, responsive and accessible design, CRO, and Shopify platform standards.Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries.Intermediate knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and email marketing campaigns.Proven leadership skills in managing design team members, mentoring, and delegating work.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present to clients and internal leadership.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint workflows is a plus.Experience working collaboratively with developers, UX researchers, and content strategists.Benefits
