Material Bank is seeking a Design Project Manager who has a passion for design and creativity. You will be an integral team member of the Design team who will guide the Design team to meet the overall objectives of projects, possesses excellent time management skills, and is familiar with quality assurance practices to ensure product quality.

You will create and implement design project plans. You will own project timelines and activities in collaboration with stakeholders, and resolve changes in scope, issues, and risks that may affect project implementation. As well as, be responsible for assigning talent and resources to projects and providing coaching to improve the performance of team members.

What you’ll do:

  • Assign talent and resources to projects.
  • Clarify project scopes and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate capabilities, workload, and resources across multiple projects.
  • Develop resource plans using resource scheduling tools.
  • Establish project requirements to determine human resources, information, materials, and technology needed.
  • Provide feedback to direct reports and junior team members
  • Recommend schedule changes and adjustments to cost and resources, and call out risks against the timely delivery and provide solutions.
  • Meet with stakeholders to obtain design input and sign-off, establish design project timelines, activities, resource plans, and cost estimates, and document changes in scope, and issues, and risks that affect project implementation.
  • Track projects against established schedules and budget.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years as a Design and Production Project Manager or in similar role within a design agency or creative environment
  • Strong understanding of design principles and the production process
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g, Asana, or Microsoft Project) and design tools (e.g Adobe Creative Suite) 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
