Duo Security, now part of Cisco, is the leading multi-factor authentication (MFA) and secure access provider.
Duo + Cisco = Disco
With the Most Loved Company in Security and the global leader in network technology joining forces, there are more exciting opportunities than ever to be at the forefront of securing the cloud.
Our mission is simple: democratize security by making it easy and effective for everyone. We're transforming security from the ground up by solving the world's most pressing geopolitical challenge - safe, secure information access. We engineer our business to enable our customers to easily address their ever-evolving security challenges.
We believe that impactful work is rewarding work and that our team is at its best when everyone feels empowered to bring their whole self to work. We learn together by hiring for cultural contribution, not cultural fit, and recognize that diversity in background and thought are essential to building high-impact teams.
We invest in growth and learning opportunities and encourage our people to never stop learning. We foster collaboration and believe in being recognized (and rewarded!) for hard work. We champion a healthy work-life balance. We're kinder than necessary.
Together we build for the future by designing simple solutions for complex problems. And that's why we're the most loved and trusted name in security.
About the team...
Design plays an integral role in Duo's mission to democratize security. Our Product Design, Design Research, and Design Enablement teams work alongside our engineering and product peers to build solutions that are easy, effective, trustworthy, and enduring. We place a high value on inclusivity, using and teaching design thinking principles to bring together diverse perspectives and skills sets. We have an audacious goal to make this the best place you will work. The products we design and build have real results for our customers because our customers are at the heart of everything that we do. We work directly with customers to build a deep understanding of their goals and context, and we explore and iterate on solutions together. Solving our customers'
security challenges through our focus on simplicity and effectiveness is why we show up daily - and it's why you should too.
What you'll do...
The Design Team at Duo has a big impact on the product and business by deeply understanding who our customers are - their needs, motivations, and goals - and framing product decisions from their point of view.
Qualitative research methods and the resulting findings are a critical part of the process, and we need to build in more operational support around communication of those insights as well as education around standard processes as we continue to grow the Design team.
As a Design Research Operations Program Lead, you'll support an enthusiastic and impactful design team to up-level their research skills and accelerate communication of insights. You will be responsible for creating programs supporting learning in qualitative research best practices as well as research communication - helping teams translate impactful findings into visual design artifacts. Your work will have organization-wide impact on enabling teams to create meaningful, easily consumable insights.
This role will provide critical support for our entire Design team and will contribute to our Research and Design Operations team, informing standard processes for tooling, resources, and education.

  • You have experience designing and developing learning experiences around research methods to ensure audiences are equipped with skills, resources, and tools
  • You have experience with program evaluation, including the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of the learning programs to ensure they meet the needs of team members and partners
  • You love collaborating with Design Research team members to translate insights into visual representations that illustrate those insights
  • You love to take complex ideas, develop clear takeaways, and communicate to an audience through engaging visual storytelling, infographics, or other visual content
  • You are interested in applying learning principles and learning theory to educational content
  • You aspire to make meaningful improvements in the lives of individuals, teams, and companies who use our product every day to do their most important work.

Skills you have...
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally to create impactful organizational programs and initiatives
  • Experience driving team members to leverage learning infrastructure to enable a culture of continuous learning
  • Ability to identify key touchpoints for learning experiences
  • The ability to learn new tools and do self-guided work
  • Understanding and experience with qualitative user research processes such as one-on-one interviews, usability testing, facilitating workshops. Previous user research experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative approach for work on a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated ability to create easily understandable, shareable, and memorable visual artifacts that communicate information
  • You're creative in using the right format for the learning experience depending on what feels right for the question at hand.
  • Experience with animations/motion graphics, experience creating e-learning solutions, video editing skills a plus.

3 reasons you should apply...
  • You are organized and highly motivated, with an ability to get stuff done
  • You want to help support others in their work and work in a collaborative team to achieve big results together
  • You love to learn and engage with varied, impactful projects
