Job Description
- Create mechanical designs and assembly drawings utilizing 3D CAD Software to industry and NOV Tuboscope department standards.
- Implementation of ASME Y14.5 GD&T techniques to ensure proper form, fit and function.
- Develop classifications of components within TeamCenter.
- Participate in the document control process within TeamCenter to control the release of mechanical drawings and documentation, including the generation of initial drawing releases, engineering change orders, and change incorporation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Requires completion of Associates Degree in Drafting Technology or (2) years of vocational training or equivalent.
- Minimum (10) years mechanical design background in areas of structures, materials, processes, fastening and joining.
- Experience utilizing TeamCenter product lifecycle management (PLM) system.
- Knowledge and experience with Siemens NX PLM CAD software, or equivalent 3D solid modeling software.
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, materials, dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Evaluate products, parts, and processes for cost efficiency & reliability.
- Good communication skills including coordinating with colleagues on large projects.
