Job Summary
The Design Strategist is a key member of the Envision Group Space Transformation & Innovation team, focusing on interior environmental, foodservice design, graphic development, and strategy formulation for basis of design standards guidelines for our national clients. Reporting to the VP of Design, this role collaborates closely with our team and strategic partners to bring innovative foodservice concepts to life, ensuring alignment with brand standards, budget constraints, and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead spatial design projects from concept to documentation, integrating interior space planning, furniture strategies, graphic development, and strategy creation for basis of design standards guidelines.
- Facilitate design charrettes to foster creativity and develop comprehensive design solutions, particularly focusing on the strategic aspects of basis of design standards guidelines for national clients.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, Compass Standards, and regulations while adhering to established basis of design standards guidelines.
- Develop and implement design measurement processes, refining strategies using surveys and focus groups, especially regarding basis of design standards guidelines.
- Craft compelling design presentations, using advanced graphics to build client relationships and reinforce the strategic importance of basis of design standards guidelines.
- Analyze and communicate design information to enhance business performance and contribute to the evolution of basis of design standards guidelines.
- Produce and craft interior design documents ranging from Schematic Design Sets through Construction documentation.
- Utilize expertise in food service, restaurant, pop-up, and experiential design to deliver exceptional results within the context of basis of design standards guidelines.
- Employ advanced graphic and verbal presentation skills to effectively communicate strategic design concepts and basis of design standards guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of design experience with a focus on restaurant design, hospitality design, brand development, and strategy formulation for basis of design standards guidelines.
- Proficiency in architectural and design processes, materials, and construction techniques, with an emphasis on strategic application within basis of design standards guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of interior design fixtures, materials, fabrication, and FF&E practices, particularly within the strategic framework of basis of design standards guidelines.
- Expertise in relevant software for design and project management, enhancing the strategic implementation of basis of design standards guidelines.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks, projects, and teams while strategically applying basis of design standards guidelines.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on strategic articulation and implementation of basis of design standards guidelines.
- Willingness to travel 20% - 30% of the time to meet with clients and operators to implement strategic design solutions within basis of design standards guidelines.
- LEED accreditation & NCIDQ certification is a plus but not required.

- Leverage advanced graphic and verbal presentation skills, including hand sketching and 3D rendering, to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Create state-of-the-art renderings and visualizations, utilizing advanced CG techniques and architectural visualization tools, to present design concepts in a compelling and photorealistic manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
