Design Verification/Reliability Tester - TEMP

This will be a long term contract of up to one year with potential for conversion.

Position Overview:

The Design Verification/Reliability Tester position will be a member of the Systems and Test Engineering group under the Technology and Product Development department. This person will be a hands-on role whose primary responsibility will be to execute various types of testing (DV, Reliability, Feasibility, etc.) on complex electro-mechanical Hemodialysis systems.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform design verification testing on complex hemodialysis systems under a controlled test protocol
• Perform reliability and feasibility testing which would include simulated treatments in the lab environment on complex hemodialysis systems, and on test fixtures
• Collect the data as instructed in the test protocol
• Helps maintain the lab and machines in clean and operable conditions
• Coordinates with Quality to maintain the test equipment in calibrated status
• Help other testers project usage of consumables and materials required to perform the test
• Provide feedback to update validation and verification protocols as required from R&D engineering team
• Track repairs on all machines and provide updates on repair status as needed
• Follows company’s safety and health guidelines and other related policies.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience testing systems in a medical device industry, or less experience will be accepted with a BS Engineering degree.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Prompt, flexible, and able to work a night shift, on weekends, and/or overtime if needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Extreme attention to detail and good documentation practices

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience with dialysis system or water purification system as a tester, service representative or manufacturing is a plus

The Hourly Range for this role will be:  $25/hr - $32/hr.
