We have a need for a Designer 3 to support our Mission Technologies Division, which has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Design major components or major portions of functional system to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Develop basic data and create preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal.
• Investigate design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
• Create layouts of complex assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, and structures.
• Review completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
• Identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

Minimum Qualifications

• AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience. HS + 3 years related experience may be substituted for AA degree.
• Experience or training with SolidWorks
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
