The primary purpose of this position is to plan and perform layout and design of product, equipment tooling and/or CNC programs to support the manufacturing of quality components or products.

• Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
• Designs and revises product, tools, jigs, fixtures, dies for production or experimental use.
• Develops product models using 3-D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) from which preliminary sketches and drawings are then prepared. Modifies designs according to trial or production data or engineering requirements.
• Works closely with other groups and departments to evaluate and resolve specific design or tooling problems.
• Designs improvements to accommodate processes or product changes; may generate work instructions and provides associated training.
• May initiate, execute, and check Engineering Change Orders, drawings and Bills of Material to ensure correct information is in the system. May document the results of work in Engineering Reports for internal distribution.
• May provide training to operators on the use of new or newly designed equipment or tooling.
• Ensures process and/or design documentation is accurate and complete.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum Experience: 2-5 years related experience using 3-D CAD Software. Previous experience with tool, fixture, and gage design is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of tool design and machine shop procedures/processes may be required.
• Prior knowledge and/or experience with rechargeable and non-rechargeable battery design and construction a plus

Special Skills:

• Previous experience with tool, fixture, and gage design is preferred.
• Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of tool design, CNC programming and machine shop procedures may be required. Successfully completed or working towards successful completion of Six Sigma Black Belt training program.
