Your Impact:

Delish is searching for an ambitious and creative Designer. This position reports to the Art Director and will work closely with the art and editorial departments across all platforms of the brand: print, digital, and social. The ideal candidate will be ready to take the lead on digital and manage the day-to-day needs of the website and social channels. You're the right candidate if you relish working both collaboratively and independently, in a fast-paced environment. Must be an innovator and problem solver with an interest in food, eager to play an integral role in taking the visual direction to the next level.

What You'll Do:

Video

  • Manage all YouTube content-related art.
  • Work with branded elements to deliver to Director of Motion Graphics.

Digital

  • Design digital features, e-commerce and news stories' lead images and inserted art (including pull quotes, galleries, infographics, and illustrations).
  • Translate all digital templates to Canva for editors.
  • Comprehensive research of stock imagery, for explainers, features or added inserts.
  • Produce feature packages from AD to creation.
  • Art direct and assign projects to illustrators when necessary.
  • Work closely in our CMS to create, curate, and design content.

Social

  • Design social media food charts/infographics for Instagram and Facebook.
  • Work with social team to edit templates and assist on any digital assets.

Print

  • Design magazine layouts and manage files throughout all stages of production, manage and keep the creative process on schedule.
  • Set up Figma for new issues.
  • Export and package finished quarterly issues.
  • Create occasional illustrations for quarterly issues.
  • All other sundry duties as assigned by the Art Director.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts or related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience, preferably in publishing
  • Experience designing and concept-ing for editorial, digital and social while maintaining the visual integrity of a brand
  • Able to take feedback and collaborate with a nimble team of editors and designers
  • Proficient in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, and a basic knowledge of HTML
  • Innovative with typography
  • Strong photo-editing skills
  • A well-rounded portfolio
  • Self-direction in daily responsibilities and ability to accomplish all tasks without supervision
  • Solution-oriented attitude in addressing day to day challenges of job
  • Motion Design experience is a plus

The base salary for this role is between $67,000 and $72,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
