Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail oriented, hardworking, and knowledgeable on-site Desktop Administrator. The successful candidate will be team-oriented, and able to take projects from inception to completion with moderate direction. The candidate will also oversee the maintenance, triage, and improvement of the internal infrastructure as well as to resolve end user technical issues, install applications and administrate systems. The candidate should be able to document processes ranging in complexity. Positive attitude, dedication and, a customer service mindset are a must.

Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the internal service desk and ticket triage for both local and remote systems
- Manage service requests submitted from end users, triage and, resolve in a timely manner
- Responsible for the daily administration of internal devices (Mac, PC, Printers, Servers, Phones) including virus scanning, backups, security, basic networking and troubleshooting
- Provide end-user support for all hardware and office software
- Improve the overall delivery of IT services for our clients
- Evaluate and recommend personal computing equipment and software packages for office ecosystem
- Asset Tracking and Reporting
- Work with Aptiv Corporate to resolve certain tickets and projects
- Respond to customer issues via phone, email, computer chat and, the ticketing system
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a help desk environment.
- Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Active Directory, and/or Office 365
- Experience supporting end user computing (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux)
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of Mac OS environment and desktop support
- In Depth working knowledge of Linux
- 2+ years advanced network experience
- Scripting experience (shell, python, perl, etc.)
- Strong customer service mindset
