Job Description

The Desktop Analyst responsibilities include system analysis for determination of appropriate hardware, software or application functionality changes resulting from user support. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual provides remote and in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.

The Desktop Analyst I will provide support to the Development team in matters of testing and project management. The position involves working with both business leads and technology teams to facilitate a successful development cycle.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritize and resolve end-user requests. Provide hands-on assistance in providing appropriate hardware, software and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems & software based upon the role of the team member.
  • Assist with onsite inventory management at Dane Street's offices. Ensure that it is kept under secure conditions at all times, and available for reassignment and/or business continuity.
  • Work closely with client IT contacts to help troubleshoot any issues that have arisen that impact the client base from being able to utilize Dane Street's services.
  • Engage with the entire IT team and other departments, as necessary, to complete security questionnaires that are driven by client requests and provided by the sales team.
  • Train the system's end users and update instruction manuals when required.
  • The use of Technical Writing skills to draft Business Specifications for development projects.
  • Conduct software QA Testing with the use of Agile Methodology skills.
  • Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs

Requirements

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Experience with Apple computer systems and/or Google Apps is preferred.

Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred.

JOB RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Present exceptional communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines. The ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently and meet specific deadlines. Computer literacy and typing skills are essential.
