Desktop Support Consultant
Job Description
Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Desktop Support Consultant to join our Enterprise Technology team.
Responsibilities
- Identifying, prioritizing, resolving, and triaging incidents and requests
- Working on tickets related to desktop support
- Installing, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows desktop, Linux desktops, MacOS laptops, and meeting room AV hardware
- Creating new user accounts, groups, etc.
- Repairing and upgrading hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners
- Installing, configuring, and supporting phones
- Supporting e-mail administration
- Managing and maintaining information on Tower’s internal documentation hub, residing on Confluence pages
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- 7 - 10 years of experience
- Knowledge of PC hardware, desktop support, and computer internals
- A deep understanding of audio/video hardware
- The ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware failures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Knowledge of Logitech AV hardware, JIRA, Confluence, and Linux
Anticipated hourly rate range is $50-80/hour.
