We are seeking a highly qualified and talented Desktop Support Manager to join us as a hands-on manager of our New York Metro regional offices and technology support team. The team is responsible for the monitoring/supporting of our Windows infrastructure, Citrix/Azure VDI platform, SaaS platforms, and desktop applications as well as resolving direct technical issues across a global platform of end-users including investment professionals, middle & back-office employees, and technologists. This role is hands-on and would allow the opportunity to work on both front-end support as well as back-end engineering while focused on continuously improving user experience. We expect innovative ideas and solutions regarding user experience to be the digital enabler for the business.
What youâll doÂ
As the Desktop Support Manager, you will serve as the main point of contact to oversee/manage all current and future Schonfeld New York metropolitan office locations. You will be tasked with not only providing technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the End User Services team, but also helping with various global initiatives and desktop project rollouts (software deployment, migrations, or leading physical office moves/expansions) as part of providing a consistent user experience.Â
You will be responsible for making sure all our offices are staffed accordingly for coverage and oversight. Lastly, you will work with our global team to ensure seamless global coverage of user experience and consistency. An ideal candidate will showcase both project management and technical skills with the leadership ability to open, onboard, and run current and new office locations. You will be part of a global dynamic workforce that will require extending support to all Schonfeld locations in a collaborative manner.
What youâll need:
- Experience leading an agile end user support team across various locations
- Positive mindset and ability to work collaboratively with teams across the business
- Ability to organize, track, and delegate activities across the team
- Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS
- Experience with Windows 10 and Mac OS within corporate environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Windows Administration, scripting (PowerShell), and Group Policies
- Exposure to Virtual Desktop Technologies (Citrix, Microsoft Azure)
- Exposure to Intune and JAMF Device Management
- Collaborate effectively with the infrastructure engineering teams and the business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ownership experience with a track record of delivering results
- Bachelorâs degree
Weâd love if you had:
- Trading floor support experience
- Experience with office buildouts/expansions/moves related to technology (Desktop, AV Conferencing)
- VMware knowledge or experience
- Experience with Windows Server 2019
- Networking knowledge or experience

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is a multi-manager platform that invests its capital with Internal and Partner portfolio managers, primarily on an exclusive or semi-exclusive basis, across four trading strategies; quantitative, fundamental equity, tactical trading and discretionary macro & fixed income. The base pay for this role is expected to be between $140,000 and $180,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
