Desktop Support Specialist (On-Site)

The Role

As a Desktop Support Specialist, your main mission is to provide end user support for employees in this location as well as for those that work remotely.  You will utilize your technical expertise to help onboard new employees and assist colleagues with technology issues that arise.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle general desktop support inquiries for technology such as computers, monitors, printers, conference room audio/visual equipment and accessories.
• Troubleshoot software issues connected to Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office applications and other internal and external applications.
• Support onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors through workstation prep and installation with an understanding of MS Windows 7 thru 11.
• Manage relationships and communication with external IT vendors.

Talents you’ll bring:

• 8+ years in IT desktop support
• Great customer service skills
• General networking understanding
• Onboarding/offboarding experience
• Experience supporting VMware vCenter/vSphere 6+
• Knowledge of Horizon VDI 7+
• O365 and Active Directory management
• McAfee EPO encryption management
• MS Server general knowledge 2008 thru 2019
• SSL vendor management support
• Preferred but not required:
  • Manage Engine software management (Service Desk, AD Self-Service, Password manager Pro, Desktop Central)
  • 3rdparty email management platforms (i.e. Mimecast)
  • Sentinel One support
  • Pitney Bowes & Printing serving support.
