Detention Analyst - Intermodal

Werner Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented candidate that is skilled in customer service to set up, analyze and report on customer accessorial profiles for our Intermodal group. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical research, problem solving and verbal/written communication skills. Position Overview:

• The main purpose of this position is to ensure that our accessorial charges are accurately compiled, analyzed, verified, and audited prior to the billing process.

• The position will understand customer requirements and obtain authorizations in a timely manner. You will work with internal contacts (Customer Service, Sales, Rating) to understand customer expectations for invoicing of accessorial charges as well as determine root cause resolution of customers payment discrepancies.

• Build internal and external relationships that will help enable proper collection of accessorials

• Provide detailed reports to leadership outlining customers accessorial trends as well as outstanding balances

• Identify areas to capture additional revenue and help to improve the efficiency of our accessorial process

Ideal candidates will have:

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience and one to two years of relatable experience

• Effective communication skills

• Intermediate or advanced MS Excel skills; SQL knowledge a plus

• Analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize workload

Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
